Two big giants in tech world are face to face over the music space.
We all are familiar with apple’s iTunes match. It’s one of the best music players we have ever seen in the market. However data says that the android has 52.5% market share where iOS is able to cover only 15% market share in the 3rd quarter of 2011.Anyways this is just a one face of the coin, because when it comes to money apple has more than 65% market share in Smartphone operation profit. Folks, it’s more than half of the total market share. Rest of the big players like Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson & HTC far behind & just trying to be in the market somehow.
Now let’s come to the point as we were talking about iTunes Match vs. Music beta by Google. iTunes match costs $24.99 a year for which you need to download the latest iTunes first from the apple website. Once you are done with the iTunes, hit the store tab & turn on the iTunes match; it will match all the songs which you have in your iTunes library and upload the rest which do not match. Here you go, now you can access your music library on max 10 wireless devices at any point in time. You can stream the music or download from any wireless device. After downloading, it will show the exact size of the downloaded song on that particular device. Make sure you have the fast wireless data connection to use iTunes match.
Another big player over music space “Music Beta” launched by Google, works on Google’s cloud. However, you can access the web interface of music beta from android app too without signing in. The service is free for Google+ users, but artists have to pay $25 to create their own pages & they can keep the 70% revenue from each sale.
